Hugh Topliff was first licensed as W1LIM in June 1938, and has held that call ever since. He spent 5½ years as a Flight Radio Operator with Pam Am in Miami, and 1½ years in the Air Force AACS in the Pacific, Japan, and Hawaii doing more of the same.  He then changed careers and became a minister for 50 years, and is now retired.  He is married and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.  He is now a bail commissioner under the local court, and chaplin of the county sheriffs dept.
